Microsoft Teams: Join meetings with a QR code on Teams Rooms on Android using Teams mobile
Users can quickly join a meeting from a Teams Room even without forwarding the invite to the room calendar by scanning a QR code using their mobile device camera. The user will then enter the Teams mobile companion mode experience on their mobile. The QR code is found on the Teams Room home screen and can also be scanned to start an ad-hoc meeting or cast content from their mobile to the Teams Room display. If the user does not have the Teams mobile app, they will be directed to download it after scanning the QR code. IT admins can control the QR code feature in the device settings and the Teams admin center. Microsoft Teams: New Meeting Option and Meeting Policy "Turn off copying or forwarding of meeting chat" (Premium)
"Turn off copying or forwarding of meeting chat" is a new meeting option that gives meeting organizer the option to disable copying and sharing features on meeting chat messages for participants in order to reduce the risk of data leak. Once this restriction is enabled, meeting chat participants will not be able to copy chat messages using menu option or keyboard shortcut, forward messages or share messages to Outlook. There is also a new Meeting Policy setting in Teams admin center for admin to control whether user can see or use this feature in Meeting Options page. This scales Communication Compliance’s reach, consistent with Microsoft 365’s expanding interfaces. In addition, administrators are also able to select Copilot chats as a checked location in the policy creation wizard for any new or existing policies. Microsoft Teams: Join meetings with a QR code on Teams Rooms on Android using Teams mobile
Users can quickly join a meeting from a Teams Room even without forwarding the invite to the room calendar by scanning a QR code using their mobile device camera. The user will then enter the Teams mobile companion mode experience on their mobile. The QR code is found on the Teams Room home screen and can also be scanned to start an ad-hoc meeting or cast content from their mobile to the Teams Room display. If the user does not have the Teams mobile app, they will be directed to download it after scanning the QR code. IT admins can control the QR code feature in the device settings and the Teams admin center. Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management - Administrative units support
Administrative units allow admins with appropriate permissions to subdivide the organization into smaller units, and then assign specific admins or role groups that can manage only the members of those units. For example, German administrators can only create/manage policies for only German users, and German investigators can only investigate alerts and activities from only German users. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.Feature ID: 171717

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Audit - New Exchange and SharePoint Logs for Microsoft Purview Audit Standard Users
Microsoft Purview is expanding access to wider cloud security activity events for Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint. As part of the changes, standard users of Purview Audit will begin to generate 4 new Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint events that were previously generated only for Audit Premium licensed users. The following events will now be provided for all Audit Standard users: 1. MailItemsAccessed; 2. Send; 3. SearchQueryInitiatedExchange; 4. SearchQueryInitiatedSharepoint; The following logs will differ based upon the user’s license. This following additional metadata is added to Exchange logs when the user is assigned an Audit Premium license: Premium Insight 1: SensitivityLabel for MailItemsAccessedFeature ID: 182259
