Users can quickly join a meeting from a Teams Room even without forwarding the invite to the room calendar by scanning a QR code using their mobile device camera. The user will then enter the Teams mobile companion mode experience on their mobile. The QR code is found on the Teams Room home screen and can also be scanned to start an ad-hoc meeting or cast content from their mobile to the Teams Room display. If the user does not have the Teams mobile app, they will be directed to download it after scanning the QR code. Microsoft 365 Apps: Availability of the Cloud Policy service for Microsoft 365 Government GCC
The Cloud policy service will begin rolling out for Microsoft 365 GCC customers late June 2024. The Cloud Policy service allows Microsoft 365 administrators to configure policies for Microsoft 365 apps and assign these policies using Microsoft 365 or Entra ID groups. Once configured, these policies are automatically enforced as users sign in and use Microsoft 365 apps. The initial release will support policies for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise on Windows and future updates will bring support for additional applications and platforms. Users can quickly join a meeting from a Teams Room even without forwarding the invite to the room calendar by scanning a QR code using their mobile device camera. The user will then enter the Teams mobile companion mode experience on their mobile. The QR code is found on the Teams Room home screen and can also be scanned to start an ad-hoc meeting or cast content from their mobile to the Teams Room display. If the user does not have the Teams mobile app, they will be directed to download it after scanning the QR code. With this update, admins with appropriate permissions will be able to delete any of the indicator variants created. Deletion of variants will directly delete it from all the Insider Risk Management policies being used. Any old insights related to the variants will remain for future reference. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. The Cloud policy service will begin rolling out for Microsoft 365 GCC customers late June 2024. The Cloud Policy service allows Microsoft 365 administrators to configure policies for Microsoft 365 apps and assign these policies using Microsoft 365 or Entra ID groups. Once configured, these policies are automatically enforced as users sign in and use Microsoft 365 apps. The initial release will support policies for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise on Windows and future updates will bring support for additional applications and platforms. Introducing speaker recognition for Teams Rooms on Windows. This feature provides live transcription with speaker identification, creating a unique "voiceprint" for each participant. With speaker recognition, Copilot in Teams can deliver meeting summaries, insights, and action items by attributing contributions to individual speakers. Participants can easily set up a voice profile using the Teams Desktop app. Users' individual voice signatures are stored securely in your organization's tenant in the Microsoft Cloud, ensuring accurate capture of every contribution in every meeting.Intelligent speaker recognition is being enabled for all Teams Rooms on Windows environments, with intelligent speakers or on existing speakers via the cloud.
